Experience calm and balance through Reiki’s soothing energy touch
Reiki & Energy Healing
Reiki Healing works through the intentional channeling of universal life force energy — an energy understood across many traditions as the vital current that supports balance, vitality, and harmony within the body. In Reiki, the practitioner acts as a clear channel for this energy, allowing it to flow where it is most needed to support restoration and realignment.
This energy is not directed by force or will, but guided by intention and presence. Reiki works intelligently, responding to the body’s internal state and supporting the natural movement from stress and imbalance toward regulation and coherence. Many clients experience this as a deep sense of grounding, clarity, and energetic recalibration.
Usui Reiki Tradition
The Reiki sessions offered through Abundance Portals are rooted in the Usui Reiki tradition, a system of energy healing developed in Japan by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. Usui Reiki is known for its gentle yet profound approach, emphasizing balance, self-awareness, and the restoration of harmony across physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
Usui Reiki does not require belief or effort from the recipient. The practitioner serves as a conduit for universal energy, while the body and nervous system determine how the energy is received and integrated. This allows the session to be deeply personal, responsive, and aligned with the individual’s needs.
How Energy Work Supports Healing
When universal energy is channeled through Reiki, it supports the body’s natural self-regulating processes. By calming stress responses and supporting energetic flow, Reiki may help ease tension, support emotional release, and promote a state of internal balance that the body recognizes as safe and restorative.
As internal energy becomes more aligned, many clients notice shifts not only in physical and emotional well-being, but also in the quality of their internal state — which can influence perception, decision-making, and the patterns they attract in daily life. Reiki supports healing at the level where these internal shifts begin.
Reiki is offered as a complementary healing practice and does not replace medical or mental health care.
In energy-based healing traditions, the body is understood to have both internal energy centers, known as chakras, and a surrounding energy field, known as the aura. Chakras are associated with physical, emotional, and mental states and are often described as points where energy is received, processed, and distributed throughout the system. The aura reflects the overall condition of this energy, much like an atmosphere reflects the state of the world it surrounds. Techniques such as Kirlian photography have been used to visually capture variations in this energy field, often appearing as shifts in brightness, density, or color. These colors are understood in relation to the chakra system, offering insight into where energy may be concentrated, depleted, or seeking balance—without diagnosis or fixed interpretation. Through Reiki healing, both the chakras and the energy field are supported in settling, clearing, and reorganizing naturally, allowing coherence and flow to return. As this happens, many people experience greater clarity, lightness, and grounded presence in how they feel and move through the world.

Energy Awareness
Reiki cultivates awareness of energy within the body and energetic field, creating gentle yet powerful movement that restores balance and shifts patterns.
Mind Body Science
Reiki is increasingly incorporated into hospital and clinical settings as part of integrative care programs that support nervous system regulation alongside conventional treatment. In these settings, the focus is on helping the body shift out of prolonged stress responses, which are known to interfere with natural restorative processes.
Chronic stress keeps the nervous system in a heightened state, marked by sustained release of cortisol and adrenaline. While adaptive in the short term, prolonged elevation is associated with inflammation, disrupted sleep, emotional reactivity, and reduced capacity for repair. Practices that promote calm and regulation—such as Reiki—support a shift out of fight-or-flight and into a restorative state, where the body can access its internal pharmacy of beneficial hormones, including oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins. These neurochemicals support emotional balance, pain modulation, immune function, and overall resilience.
Reiki supports the conditions in which the body’s natural intelligence can restore balance.
When the body feels safe, regulated, and supported, healing becomes possible — and that is the space Reiki is designed to create.

Universal Energy
Reiki works through the channeling of universal life force energy—a natural, intelligent energy that supports balance and harmony. The practitioner serves as a clear conduit, allowing this energy to flow where it is most needed, guided by the body’s own wisdom rather than force or direction.
This gentle transmission supports regulation, restoration, and energetic realignment, creating the conditions for healing to unfold naturally.
